Patrick Neary, while going to Dennis O'Reilly's funeral met
the procession and drove across the ditch to let the procession
pass. In turning around to get onto the road again the sleigh
tipped over and the horse ran away leaving the old gent in the
snow. The horse kept to the side of the road thus avoiding
what might have caused a serious accident had he ran into the
procession.
