HISTORY OF RACINE COUNTY
This county was formed in 1836 from Milwaukee County. The County seat is Racine. It lies on Lake Michigan to the east. To the West is Walworth County, Kenosha to the south and Milwaukee and Waukesha to the north.
Location of vital records for Racine County will be with the Register of Deeds Office at the Court House on 1st Floor South.
Keep in mind that not all records are there. Some old records are at the Regional Archive, and some records no longer exist or were never recorded.
