Family Notes by Mark Kelly (wmkelly@bellsouth,net):
Lurena R. Parker was the first child of Squire Parker and Malissa Morris. Born in Georgia, probably Habersham County,
in April of 1834, she married Jordan J. Crocker (b. Abt. 1826-d. 1864) in
Habersham County on April 25th, 1858. They had three children, Nancy Elizabeth (b. Jan. 1959), Jordan
C. (b. abt. 1861) and James L. (b. abt. 1863).
After her husband Jordan died, a casualty of the Civil War, Lurena did
not remarry. Once her children were
grown, Lurena lived primarily with her daughter Elizabeth. She spent the rest of her life in Banks
County, where she died November 16, 1925.
