The farm house of Patrick RIORDAN, in the town of Rantoul, Calumet county, was destroyed by fire on the 21st.
A serious stabbing affray took place near Hortonville the other day. James DISBRO and L. WENTWORTH got into a fight during which DISBRO stabbed WENTWORTH several times in the back, side and arms. At first it was thought WENTWORTH was fatally injured, but he is now in a fair way of recovery. DISBRO was arrested. He claims to have used the knife in self-defense.
