I am looking for information on the Ehlen family, Joseph head of family and Augusta mother. They lived in Wayne Co Mi, during the latter part of the 1800's residing at 190 Superior ST. He was a cabinetmaker.
Their son Aloysius Ehlen married Irene Bozyk also from Wayne Co. and I wonder if there is any record of the Bozyk Family. They attended St. Elizabeth's church. I do not find this church. Was there a Catholic Church like this during that time. Joseph died in 1903 and Augusta died in 1936 buried in Mt. Elliott Cemetery. Thank you for your help

My sister and I have been trying to get information about our great grandmother, Grace McDougall. Possibly spelled McDougal. We were told she died while onboard a ship from Scotland to New York in September of 1907. She allegedly died while giving birth to our Grandmother Hazel Edna Tuffield. The father of Hazel was William James Tuffield. This family resided in Michigan in the early 1900's. We have found the grave of William Tuffield but have not been able to verify anything about his wife, Grace McDougall. We would like to find out what really became of her. Does any of this sound familiar to you? Thank You

- Surnames:STUART FOUNDRY
Date Posted: 19 May 2001
I have been searching for some information on a
business that was once in Detroit. As far as I know the facts, my great
grandfather was the founder. The name was STUART FOUNDRY. Today, there are
still manhole covers in Detroit that say Stuart Foundry on them. This
company also produced an automobile at one time, of which I hold a photo of.
It would be most appreciated if I could locate any information on this
foundry. I have been unsuccessful in locating anything about my great
grandfather to this point. I am told his name was Walter. He married Teresa
Dame. I thought he also died in Detroit and was buried there. I am not able
to find any death records though. Anyway, I found this sight and thought I
would give it a try. Hope you can help me.

I am trying to research my French ancestry in Detroit.
My great great great grandparents were Sophia Campau and James Anthony
Dubois. Their daughter, Emily Dubois was my great great grandmother. She
married Joseph Girardin.
I'm very interested in finding out who Sophia's parents were. I can only
find information on her marriage but nothing on her birth or death. My mom
thinks we are somehow related to Joseph Campau who was a very wealthy and
prominent Detroit business man. If you have any information my family would
be very grateful.
