I am looking for information on the father of my husband, Harry B. Hunter. My husband, Jim, recalls as a young boy that he was buried in Racine, late August or early September, appx. 1957. As a young boy he also recalled him working as a car salesman in Racine. His recollection is the family did not live there long. Harry B. was married to Esther R. Bowles. He had two children with her, Jim and Donna. He also had two children by a previous marriage, Larry and John.

have posted "Mitchell-Kell" before. I now have more information. I know that there are alot of Michels in Racine County and hope this opens some doors.
Mitchell aka Michels - I am researching the ancestors of Peter G. Mitchell. His father was Joseph Michels who immigrated to Chicago in about 1868. Joseph was a widower, I believe, who came with his children: Catharina, actually there were three Catharinas..born 1850, 1861, and 1863, unfortunately the records do not give their second names, Anna Maria b. 1857, who I think married and was known as Mary Wangerin, Johann, b. 1855, and Peter b. 1859... Joseph had two brothers in Chicago who paid their way according to their permission to immigrate document dated March 23, 1868.
Thank you

Would anyone have the mortality schedule for 1870 of persons that died in Racine Co. between 1860 and 1870? I am looking for a male HOLDEN. Have Ann Holden 68, on 1870 census, but know she had a husband.
2nd query: does anyone have transcriptions or records for Mt. Pleasant Cemetery? Again looking for HOLDEN.
Thanks and crossing my fingers.

I am trying to find information on Peter and Anna Becker. Their son, John
Philip, was born in 1861 in Waterford. Peter would be my maternal
gggrandfather. John P. married Mary Emma Troegel/Trogel of Milwaukee, WI and
they moved to South Dakota and then Rimbey, Alberta, Canada. Peter and Anna's
names and that they lived in Waterford is all the info I have, nothing
further back. 99% sure they came from somewhere in Germany.

Michael Partling came from West Meath, Ireland. He was naturalized
about 1824, New York. He married Mary Lynch , 18 July 1852, in
Racine. They had two children, Mary Ann and Thomas. On Dec. 10, 1855,
Michael died and was buried at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, in Racine.
He was buried Block G, lot 103, an unmarked grave. Both children were
given to the guardianship of James Carlin. Mary Lynch Partland
{Partling} married Andrew Boyle in St. Patrick's Catholic Church, on 27
May 1870. Parents of Andrew were Daniel and Catherine Boyle. An Ann
Partand was witness to the marriage.
Is there any record of the cemetery location of this family? Is there
any information regarding this family that is available? I would be
very happy to pay someone to do research on this family. I am certain
there is more information regarding them than what I presently have.
Thank you!
