Seeking information on a Frederick SHOULTZ, that's listed in the Roster of WI Volunteers, War of the Rebellion 1861-1865. It's states that his residence was Burlington, Wisconsin ( Racine Co. ). Frederick was in Co. H 22nd Infantry, and was a Private, from Aug. 11, 1862---M.O. June 12, 1865 ( Don't know what the M.O. means ). My husbands Grandfather was born in Wisconsin on April 1, 1867 ( Fred SHOULTZ ), and if possible, would like some information on this Frederick SHOULTZ, like dates, place of birth, parents, wife & dates, children etc. Any info would be greatly appreciated. On the roster sheets I found the name spelled 3 different ways; SHOULTZ, SCHOLTZ and SHULTZ. All the information was the same on the different spellings. There was also a Carl Shultz from Burlington, on the roster, he went in on Aug. 12, 1962 and out M.O. June 12, 1965. Possibly brothers?? Thanks for any help on the SHOULTZ'S of Burlington in this time period.

My grandmother passed away two years ago, and the more I research, the more odd her records are, we have trouble verifying her actual birth name and birth date.
Her first and middle name was Louise Agnes, there is some contention over the last name. It should have been Cuityz , but has also been seen spelled as CHUTIZ (it is Lithuanian). What I have found is that she was probably listed as RICHARDS.
Her father was from Lithuana, by the name of Alexander Tony Cuityz, and her mother from Pennsalvania by the name of Stella Gertrude Hauser. Her birth date is listed as 8/30/1915, we are pretty sure the month and day are right, but the year seems to be up for grabs. She had a brother, William Frank who is listed as being born 6/27/1920, but we aren't sure what city, I'm hoping they were still in Racine.
